Who we are ?
TrashRocket is a small yet ambitious hobby project, born out of a passion for model rocketry and a desire to learn more. However, due to the scarce availability of model rocket engines in Denmark, I had to think outside the box.
After extensive research and relentless effort, Project THEO was brought to life—a step toward understanding and experimenting with rocketry under tight constraints. But the journey didn’t stop there. With each challenge came new ideas, leading to the next ambitious endeavor: Project Wombat, a bi-liquid rocket engine designed to push the limits of what can be achieved by a single enthusiast.
The inspiration for Project Wombat came from an unlikely source: the wombat itself. Known for producing cube-shaped droppings, the wombat has puzzled scientists for years. This unique geometric phenomenon sparked an idea—what if unconventional shapes and structures could improve engine efficiency or simplify manufacturing? By taking inspiration from nature’s ingenuity, Project Wombat incorporates innovative design elements that challenge traditional small-scale rocket engine concepts.
TrashRocket isn’t about developing cutting-edge aerospace technology; it’s about proving what’s possible under extreme limitations. It’s about pushing boundaries—not just of model rocketry laws, but of personal capability. With persistence, creativity, and a bit of wombat-inspired engineering, the sky is just the beginning.
